The Three Kings of El Morro

Designed in the last decades of the sixteenth century by engineer Bautista Antonelli, with a view to the protection of the town of San Cristobal de La Habana. Next to the lighthouse that accompanies it, is a symbol of that city and of Cuba.
From the heights of the Castle, situated on a bluff of the harbor entrance, displayed the primitive village could therefore became the main point of contact with the other defenses. This condition made ​​the fort constitute the primary custody of the city until the construction of the cabin, in the last third of the eighteenth century.
During the 90s of XX century were made rescue and preservation of all the work, and, thereafter, its spaces were transformed into art galleries, cultural event scenarios, which became the stronghold in a popular cultural attraction and Havana tourist.
